An alarming security incident occurred earlier today at Osei Kyeretwie Senior High School (OKESS) in Kumasi, Ashanti Region, when a student was apprehended on campus with a locally manufactured pistol.

According to a report aired by GHOne TV and confirmed by Starr FM (starrfm.com.gh), the arrest took place within the school premises, sending shockwaves across the academic community. The student, whose identity has not yet been made public due to legal reasons, was detained after school authorities and campus security found the weapon during a spot check.
