2025 WASSCE Glory: Mfantsipim Quiz Champions Impress with Viral Result Slips

The brilliant trio that represented Mfantsipim School in the 2025 National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) have once again captured national admiration—this time for their outstanding performance in the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE). Ahmed Tijani Mumuni, Mohammed Mahama Quainoo, and Benjamin Kwadwo Boakye, already celebrated for clinching the NSMQ trophy, have reaffirmed their academic strength by excelling with straight As in all their subjects.

Their remarkable results were highlighted on the Facebook page of VOK Live, where the slips of the General Science candidates were posted. The update quickly drew massive attention, confirming that the NSMQ champions did not only dominate on the quiz stage but also excelled in their final examinations.

WAEC officially released the 2025 WASSCE results on Saturday, November 29, 2025. Alongside the release, the Council published a detailed report addressing widespread examination malpractice. According to WAEC, 6,295 candidates had specific subject results cancelled for attempting to sneak foreign or printed materials into examination halls. Additionally, 653 candidates who went a step further by bringing mobile phones to the exams had their entire results nullified.

The Council also disclosed that 908 candidates had selected subject results withheld, while the full results of 158 candidates were being held pending further investigations. WAEC assured the public, through a statement signed by its Head of Public Affairs, that pending cases would be resolved before the close of 2025.

Despite these troubling figures, the exceptional performance of the Mfantsipim trio brought a refreshing wave of excitement. At the time this report was filed, the Facebook post showcasing their achievement had amassed more than 400 likes and over 200 comments—many of them filled with admiration and optimism.

For others, the success story emphasized the importance of creating supportive learning environments. Babs Dan Busanga commented, “This is what happens when students, irrespective of background, are given the chance and resources to excel. No wonder some so-called Class A schools struggle to reach the NSMQ finals.”

Another commenter, Dekomwine Tieryeng, encouraged guidance as they take their next steps, writing, “Good, but they should be guided on their next educational journey and not just jump into studying medicine.”

Adding a humorous touch, Kakaklolo Mawutor Joshua joked, “I wonder the type of clay God used to create some people… our head die ruff… hahahaha eeeih.”

A Glimpse of a Brighter Academic Future

The admirable WASSCE results of the Mfantsipim NSMQ stars have rekindled pride and hope in Ghana’s educational system. Their accomplishment stands as a strong reminder that discipline, support, and dedication can produce extraordinary outcomes. As Ghana continues to nurture young scientists and innovators, the success of Ahmed, Mohammed, and Benjamin shines as a beacon for students across the country—proof that excellence can indeed be achieved on every front.
