[APPLY] KNUST Opens New Scholarship Program with Mastercard Foundation

The Africa Health Collaborative, in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation and the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), has announced the opening of applications for a new scholarship scheme aimed at supporting postgraduate studies in public health and business. The initiative targets eligible Ghanaian alumni as well as graduating students from partner universities across Africa.

The scholarship program provides funding for a range of specialized postgraduate courses at KNUST’s School of Public Health (SPH) and School of Business (KSB). Applicants can choose from several forward-looking programs designed to address critical gaps in the continent’s health and entrepreneurial sectors. Available courses include:

  • MSc. Health Entrepreneurship (HENT)
  • MPH/MSc. Health Services Planning and Management (HSPM)
  • MPH/MSc. Global Health and Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs)
  • MPhil Health Systems Research and Management (HSRM)
  • MPhil Field Epidemiology and Applied Biostatistics (FEAB)
  • PhD Public Health (Epidemics/Pandemics Preparedness and Response)
  • PhD Public Health (Non-Communicable Diseases)

These academic pathways are designed to equip students with advanced expertise to address evolving public health concerns while inspiring innovative, business-driven solutions within the health ecosystem.

The application deadline is Friday, 22 December 2025, giving prospective candidates sufficient time to assemble the required documents and meet the eligibility criteria.
