CAGD Releases Official Salary Payment Schedule for Final Quarter of 2025

The Controller and Accountant-General’s Department (CAGD) has reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring timely and transparent salary disbursements by publishing the official payment schedule for public sector workers covering October, November, and December 2025.
This quarterly announcement brings much-needed clarity and assurance to thousands of government employees across Ghana, especially as the year draws to a close and many households begin to plan their finances for the festive season.
According to the Department, it remains dedicated to promoting smooth coordination among government ministries, departments, agencies, and financial institutions to prevent any unnecessary delays in salary payments. By releasing the schedule well in advance, the CAGD seeks to enhance transparency, promote financial discipline, and support workers in planning ahead.
Salary Payment Schedule for October–December 2025
- October 2025: Thursday, October 23, 2025
- November 2025: Monday, November 24, 2025
- December 2025: Thursday, December 18, 2025
The Department explained that funds are transferred to employees’ respective banks on the stated dates. However, it cautioned that some banks may take an additional one or two days to credit workers’ accounts due to internal processing systems.
In keeping with tradition, the CAGD has scheduled an early release of December salaries to allow public sector workers to adequately prepare for the Christmas festivities. This gesture, the Department noted, reflects its awareness of the financial pressures many families face during the holiday season and its ongoing efforts to reduce economic stress.
The CAGD also assured workers that it will continue to provide timely updates if any changes occur in the schedule due to unforeseen technical or administrative issues. Public sector employees are encouraged to take note of the announced dates, plan their personal budgets accordingly, and contact their employers or the CAGD for clarification if needed.
This proactive move once again demonstrates the CAGD’s unwavering commitment to accountability, reliability, and efficient public financial management across all levels of government.
