GES drops simple way to access your promotion letters [Step by step process on GES-MIS app]

The management of Ghana Education Service has provided a new site or software to enable them work easily with the schools without their presence. In this case the site or app is given to all schools across the country to submit all datas of the school including staffing, enrollment, classroom, furniture, school facilities, students attendance, etc.

Now another interesting thing is that GES will send promotion letters and posting letters of teachers returning from study leave to each teacher’s Portal for them to print it.

HOW TO REGISTER YOUR SCHOOL ON THE GESMIS PORTAL:

  1. Go to your PC and Open the GES-MIS app
  2. After the app opens Click on login
  3. Enter username (Remember to use admin for both username and password)
  4. You will be taken to the software’s page

You will configure the software to verify your school. You will need the following details:

1. Your school EMIS code.

2. Year established.

3. Management Unit.

4. PV management unit.

5. Verification code (How to generate the code is below).

6. Digital Address.

7. Levels

 HOW TO GENERATE THE CODE:

  1. Go to verify school code under data submission.
  2. Enter your school EMIS code.
  3. Click on the verify button to verify it.
  4. This will show you the name of the school, district and the head teacher’s details.
  5. Click on This is my school to receive the verification code. The code will be sent to your head teacher’s phone number.

Now that you have received the verification code, you can verify the school in the following steps:

1. Click on the UNDER THE

2. ⁠Fill in the details.

3. ⁠ The verification code has been sent to your head teacher’s phone.

4. ⁠Click on Save to save the school’s data

HOW TO REGISTER YOUR TEACHERS ON THE GESMIS PORTAL:

 Your will need the following details from your teachers:

1. Staff ID.

2. First Appointment date.

3. Phone number.

4. Licensure number (Enter 99 if no data).

5. Rank.

6. Ghana Card number.

7. Previous school.

8. Date placed on rank (Enter First Appointment date if no data).

9. Highest Academic qualification.

10. Highest Professional qualification.

11. List Certificates with year (eg DBE 2015, BEd 2018, MEd Social Studies 2022, WASSCE Agric 2011)

STEPS TO ENROLL YOUR TEACHERS:

  1. Click on the Data Submission.
  2. ⁠Select Staff.
  3. ⁠Enter the staff ID of the teacher and verify.
  4. ⁠Click on Proceed.
  5. ⁠Fill in the details and save.
  6. ⁠Repeat same steps for all your teachers.
  7. Click on Click Here to submit when all your teachers have been enrolled.
  8. For security reasons, go through each entry with the teacher to ensure that all their details are correct.
  9. Teachers will receive an SMS with their staff ID and password as well as a unique link to access their portal.

NOTE: You can ONLY successfully create a GES-MIS when your school IT coordinator with the go-ahead from the District/Municipal/Metropolitan IT Coordinator successfully onboard all the staff members of a particular school and gives you the login details for you to sign in.
