The Ghana Education Service (GES) has issued a statement addressing recent media reports claiming that Mr. Michael Owusu Afriyie, widely known as Teacher Kwadwo, has been reinstated into the Service. The GES has categorically debunked these reports, labeling them as false.
In a statement signed by Daniel Fenyi, Head of Public Relations for the GES, the Service clarified that Mr. Owusu Afriyie, who was dismissed in 2021, has not been reinstated. The GES urged the public to disregard the misleading reports circulating in sections of the media.
The statement further noted that if Mr. Owusu Afriyie believes his dismissal is contestable, he is welcome to submit a formal written petition for review and due consideration by the Service.
The GES emphasized its commitment to addressing such matters through proper channels and reiterated its call for the public to rely on verified information from official sources.
