GES revokes appointment letters of newly posted teachers, see reasons

The Ghana Education Service, in a statement, drops sad news to all newly posted teachers who were posted after December 7, 2024, and calls for revocation of their appointment.

According to the statement sighted by gespages.com, pursuant to the letter dated 10th February, 2025 with reference No. SCR/DA/85/85/01/A on the subject matter “REVOCATION OF APPOINTMENT AND RECRUITMENT” from the office of the President, the director general wishes to inform them that all recruitment of teaching and non-teaching staff who have not been placed on the payroll yet have been revoked with immediate effect in accordance with the Chief of Staff’s directive.

The director general also stated in the letter that all Regional and District/Municipal/Metropolitan Directors are to ensure that this directive is strictly adhered to.

You would be notified of any further directive concerning this issue as and when necessary.

Information we have gathered indicates that College of Education graduate teachers who were posted in September 2024 are exempted from this operation.

Those without staff IDs should count yourselves out from this operation as GES is working assiduously to generate the remaining IDs.

Moreover, those who were also validated with 0.00 balance should calm down as they are also working on it.
