Ghana Armed Forces Announces Dates for 2025/2026 Recruitment Documentation and Body Selection

The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has officially announced that the documentation and body selection exercise for the 2025/2026 recruitment will take place from 12th to 13th November 2025 at designated screening centres across the country.

According to the statement from GAF, all qualified applicants who successfully passed the initial stages of the recruitment process are to report to their respective screening centres on the stated dates for the next phase of the selection process. The exercise will involve verification of documents and body selection assessments, which are crucial steps in confirming candidates’ eligibility for enlistment into the Armed Forces.

Mandatory Attendance and Document Requirements

The GAF emphasized that participation in the documentation and body selection process is mandatory for all shortlisted applicants. Candidates are expected to appear in person and present all original documents submitted during their online application. These documents include:

  • Birth certificate or valid proof of age
  • Educational certificates (BECE, WASSCE, or higher qualification where applicable)
  • National Identification Card (Ghana Card or passport)
  • Completed GAF recruitment confirmation printout

Body Selection and Fitness Assessment

Beyond document verification, candidates will undergo body selection to assess their physical fitness and overall health suitability for military service. This stage involves basic medical checks, height and weight measurements, and general physical examination.

The GAF reiterated that only applicants who meet the required health and physical standards will progress to the next phase of the recruitment process. The exercise is part of the Forces’ commitment to maintaining discipline, professionalism, and physical readiness among all recruits.

Regional Screening Centres

Screening will be conducted simultaneously across various regional centres, and applicants have been advised to report strictly to the centres assigned to them during registration. This approach, according to GAF, is to ensure an organized, transparent, and efficient process that prevents overcrowding and unnecessary delays.

Applicants are also encouraged to arrive early at the centres with all required documents and identification materials to avoid being turned away.

GAF Warns Against Middlemen and Fraudsters

As part of the announcement, the Ghana Armed Forces cautioned applicants to beware of fraudsters and unscrupulous individuals who may pose as recruitment agents or promise to influence the process. The statement stressed that the recruitment exercise is free and based solely on merit, and no individual or agency has been authorized to collect money on behalf of the Armed Forces.
