NSA Suspends Digital Systems and Enrollment Amid Irregularities

The National Service Authority (NSA) has announced an immediate suspension of its digital systems and national service enrollment, effective June 20, 2025. This decision follows a letter from the Honourable Minister for Youth Development and Empowerment, acting under the authority of the President, dated June 17, 2025. The letter addressed concerns about irregularities related to the Metric App and directed the NSA to conduct a forensic audit and revalidation exercise across the service database.

Key Directives from the NSA

In response to the minister’s letter, the NSA’s Governing Board, during an emergency meeting on June 20, 2025, decided on the following actions:

  1. Suspension of Digital Systems: The Metric App used for validating national service personnel and the Central Systems Management Portal (CSMP), along with any associated digital platforms operated by the NSA, are suspended with immediate effect.
  2. Cease Operational Use: All operational and administrative use of the Metric App and CSMP must cease immediately.
  3. Halt Payments and Engagements: Payments, renewals, or engagements associated with the Metric App, CSMP, and related digital platforms are halted.
  4. Cooperation with Audit: The NSA must cooperate fully with the Auditor-General, the Ghana Audit Service, and the National Security, who have been tasked with conducting a comprehensive forensic and systems audit.
  5. Provision of Documentation: All necessary documentation, data, and personnel must be provided for the biometric revalidation and database clean-up exercise.
  6. Halt National Service Enrollment: The ongoing National Service Enrollment is halted in line with the above resolutions.

The NSA has urged all management staff, regional directors, district managers, and national service personnel to address this matter promptly and ensure that all actions align with the directives of the President and the oversight ministry.
