Refund all unlawful collected allowances – NSA to NSP

NATIONAL SERVICE PERSONNEL WHO HAVE UNLAWFULLY COLLECTED DUAL INCOME MUST IMMEDIATELY REFUND ALLOWANCES AND REGULARIZE THEIR STATUS

The Ghana National Service Authority (GNSA) is directing all National Service Personnel who are currently undertaking National Service and have been found to be simultaneously engaged in full-time employment, particularly within the public sector, to immediately refund all unlawfully collected National Service allowances.

This directive follows the ongoing verification exercise involving the submission of full enrolment lists from the following service categories to the Controller and Accountant General’s Department:

General Enrolment (2024/2025)

Nurses Enrolment (2025/2026)

Teachers Enrolment (2025/2026)

Any personnel identified as receiving dual income in contravention of the National Service Authority Act, 2024 (Act 1119), must pay back the total amount of National Service allowance received during their period of dual engagement into the account below:

After making the necessary payment, affected personnel are required to submit their pay-in receipts to the nearest Regional Office of the National Service Authority or the Head Office in Accra to regularize their status.

Deadline for compliance is within two weeks from the date of this release.

Failure to comply within this period will result in:

Referral for prosecution

Referral to primary employer for disciplinary action

Permanent disqualification from future public service engagement
