Three teacher unions declare nationwide strike effective on this date …

The three pre-tertiary teacher unions in the country have declared industrial strike action on July 12, 2024.

PRESS RELEASE

INDUSTRIAL ACTION (STRIKE)

The Leadership of the Pre-Tertiary Unions under the Ministry of Education, call on all Teachers and non Teaching Staff to heed the call of Organised Labour by laying down their working tools and stay off work beginning 15th July, 2024.

This strike has become necessary due to the fact that Government intends to go ahead with the sale of SSNIT properties to Rock City despite the call by Organise Labour for a halt to the sales.
