The University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), has issued an important announcement addressed to all 2025 WASSCE applicants seeking admission into its undergraduate and diploma programmes for the 2025/2026 academic year. The notice, dated 30th November 2025, outlines key instructions for both existing applicants and prospective candidates who are yet to begin the application process.
According to the university, all WASSCE candidates who have already submitted their applications are required to log in to the UPSA admission portal to verify the accuracy of the details provided. Applicants must ensure that essential information such as their full name, date of birth, WASSCE index number, and the month and year of examination are correctly entered. The institution noted that qualified applicants should expect an SMS notification once their admission has been processed successfully.
For individuals who may not receive this SMS alert, UPSA advises the use of the Online Serial Number (OSN), a 15-digit code found on the e-voucher. By logging on to the admissions portal and entering the OSN, applicants can easily check their admission status and download their admission letter.
The university also reminded prospective applicants that admissions into both diploma and undergraduate programmes remain open. Interested persons can purchase their Online Serial Number from designated sales points such as Access Bank, Ecobank, and the Post Office, or conveniently through the USSD code 8879#. With the e-voucher, applicants can proceed to complete the online application process.
Additionally, UPSA addressed candidates who may wish to convert their degree application to a diploma programme. Applicants who obtained a D7 in any core subject are instructed to revisit step three of the application portal to change their chosen programme to a suitable diploma option.
The notice emphasized that the deadline for submission of applications and the closure of the portal is 5:00 p.m. on Friday, 12th December 2025. Prospective and continuing applicants are therefore encouraged to complete all processes before the deadline.
