Fill your jericans, tanks as Ghana water company drops shutdown down of plant on this date…

The Management of Ghana Water LTD (GWL), Ashanti Production region, wishes to inform its cherished customers and the public that, due to the ongoing construction works at the Suame roundabout, the company will change some valves and tie in old pipelines to newly laid ones.

According to a statement released by GWCL sighted by gespages.com, the management has requested the shutdown of the Barekese Water Treatment Plant which supplies water to the metropolis to enable engineers of GWL to execute this exercise on Tuesday, 20th August 2024 at 5 am and resume operations at 6 pm. As a result, customers are advised to store enough water ahead of this important exercise.

The Regional chief manager told gespages that areas to be affected will include Suame, Tafo/Pankrono, Asokwa, Bantama, Sokoban, Kronum, Barekese, Manhyia, Oforikrom, Kwadaso, Atasamanso, Kotwi, Adum, KNUST, Odoum, Asokore Mampong, and surrounding areas.

The Management regrets the inconvenience this may cause and assures customers that supply will be restored immediately work is completed.
