GES Director General drops update about 2025 recruitment of qualified graduates
The Ghana Education Service (GES) is currently awaiting funding approval from the Ministry of Finance after completing preparations for the recruitment of graduate teachers who completed in 2023 from various public colleges of education in Ghana.
This update was confirmed on June 2, 2025, monitored by our portal following a high-level meeting between the Director-General of GES, Prof. Frank Kofi Davis, and the leadership of the Teacher Trainees’ Association of Ghana (TTAG).
This meeting was led by TTAG President H.E. Razak Soale, the delegation met with senior GES officials, including the Head of Legal Affairs, Internal Auditor, Head of Public Relations, and the General Secretary, to discuss the status of postings for the graduate teachers.
According to information gathered by our portal, prof Ernest Kofi Davis gave TTAG the assurance that GES had finished and sent the whole budget for recruiting all eligible graduates.
“GES has prepared and submitted the full recruitment budget covering all graduate teachers from the public Colleges of Education,” Prof. Davis stated.
“The budget has been successfully defended and approved by the Ministry of Finance and the Parliamentary Select Committee on Education. The process is currently awaiting financial clearance from the Ministry of Finance, after which GES will commence recruitment and posting,” he added.
