Ministry of Interior Announces Date For Recruitment Into Police, Fire, Prison, & Immigration Service

The Government of Ghana, through the Ministry of the Interior, has officially announced the commencement of recruitment into four major internal security agencies. According to a public notice issued by the Ministry, applications will be accepted from 15th November to 15th December 2025 for positions in the Ghana Police Service, Ghana Prisons Service, Ghana National Fire Service, and the Ghana Immigration Service.
This nationwide recruitment exercise is part of efforts to strengthen the country’s internal security framework and improve safety and public protection. The Ministry emphasized its commitment to enhancing service delivery and boosting the capacity of security institutions to effectively respond to national security needs.
The notice invites qualified, disciplined, and patriotic Ghanaian citizens to apply, particularly individuals willing to serve the nation with integrity, professionalism, and dedication. Applicants are encouraged to thoroughly review the outlined requirements and ensure they meet the eligibility criteria before submitting their applications.
The Ministry further highlighted that details of available vacancies, qualification requirements, and application procedures will be provided for each agency. The process will be transparent and merit-based, with only shortlisted candidates proceeding to the screening stage, which includes an aptitude test, physical evaluation, and background checks.
A strong warning was issued against recruitment fraud. The Ministry clarified that no fees are charged at any point during the process and cautioned prospective applicants against dealing with individuals or groups claiming they can secure placement for money. Those found engaging intermediaries or submitting forged documents will be automatically disqualified and may face prosecution.
The Ministry stated that the mode of application will be communicated in due course, urging the public to remain vigilant and follow only official announcements.
This latest recruitment initiative marks another significant step by government toward boosting national security operations and providing employment opportunities for qualified Ghanaians across the country.
