GES Releases Outstanding Feeding Grants and Perishables for Schools Nationwide

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced the release of all outstanding feeding grants for Special Schools, covering the third term of the 2024/2025 academic year and the first term of the 2025/2026 academic year. The move is expected to ease long-standing financial pressure on these institutions and support uninterrupted feeding for students.

Alongside this, GES has also cleared all arrears related to perishables for Senior High Schools (SHS) and Senior High Technical Schools (SHTS). These payments span the period from 29th July to 17th October 2025, a timeframe during which many schools raised concerns about delays affecting their ability to provide adequate meals.

According to the statement, all funds have already been transferred into the designated accounts of the beneficiary schools across the country. Management has therefore urged heads of Special Schools, SHS, and SHTS to submit official receipts confirming the funds received. These acknowledgments are expected to be forwarded to the Director-General through their Regional Accountants.

The announcement was signed by Daniel Fennyi, Head of Public Relations at GES.
