Licensure Exams: TTG Announces New Modality and Dates

Accra, August 27, 2025 – The Teacher Trainees’ Association of Ghana (TTAG) National Secretariat has released an urgent update regarding the Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination (GTLE). In a statement dated August 25, 2025, TTAG informed all Level 400 students, candidates, and registrants about the revised modalities and confirmed dates for the upcoming examination, following consultations with the National Teaching Council (NTC) and the Ministry of Education (MoE).

The GTLE will now be conducted under a new, modernized format aimed at enhancing efficiency, credibility, and alignment with contemporary standards of teacher education. This shift reflects a collaborative effort to improve the examination process.

Examination Schedule

  • Level 400 Trainees (First-time Candidates): Monday, 13th to Wednesday, 15th October 2025.
  • Resitters: Monday, 27th to Tuesday, 28th October 2025 (tentative).

Fees

  • Examination Fee: GHC 450.00
  • Indexing Fee: GHC 50.00

The NTC is set to release full guidelines on registration, structure, and procedures in due course. Additionally, the council will engage candidates through a series of Zoom meetings organized via TTAG administrative sectors to provide orientation and clarity on the new arrangements.
