UMaT Announces 17th Congregation Ceremony Scheduled for November 29, 2025

The University of Mines and Technology (UMaT), Tarkwa, has officially announced the date for its 17th Congregation Ceremony. The event, which celebrates the academic achievements of postgraduate and undergraduate students, is scheduled to take place on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at the University Auditorium.
This annual ceremony brings together graduands, families, faculty, and invited guests to mark the successful completion of various academic programmes for the 2024/2025 academic year.
Graduation Sessions
To ensure smooth coordination, the ceremony will run in two main sessions:
First Session (9:00 am)
This session will feature graduands from the following schools:
- School of Postgraduate Studies
- Faculty of Geosciences and Environmental Studies
- Faculty of Mining and Minerals Technology
- School of Petroleum Studies
Second Session (1:00 pm)
This session will include students from:
- Faculty of Engineering
- Faculty of Computing and Mathematical Sciences
- School of Railways and Infrastructure Development (SRID)
- Faculty of Integrated Management Science
Graduation Fees
UMaT has outlined the applicable graduation fees for both postgraduate and undergraduate students, depending on their campus.

Deadline for payment: Tuesday, November 25, 2025
Graduands who are unable to attend the ceremony will still be required to pay the graduation fee before their certificates can be issued.
Mandatory Rehearsal
To ensure an orderly ceremony, UMaT has scheduled a compulsory rehearsal for all graduands:

- Second Session: 2:00 pm
Attendance at the rehearsal is required to familiarize graduands with the proceedings and ensure a dignified event.
Special Guest of Honour
The ceremony will be graced by the Minister for Education, Hon. Haruna Iddrisu, who will serve as the Special Guest of Honour.
